HARDminute factoid 29 Top Ten Year-Year home sales


Business Week just released results of fourth quarter sales for last year versus 2007. These are numbers of sales, not prices. However, they do show that the lowered prices have stimulated interest…and several cases of multiple offers.
California has 8 of the top ten, but all are in markets that had risen most quickly, captured many flippers and speculators on the way up, then fallen hardest.
The analysis only used ZIP codes of 10,000 or more households and only one ZIP per metropolitan area.
